ARTS & CRAFTS INSTRUCTOR The Milford Senior Center (MSC) is excited to offer a unique and rewarding part-time position for a creative and versatile team player to work with the programming department team to facilitate various arts & crafts groups/classes for members of the Milford Senior Center.
Responsibilities:
Implement arts programs and activities for MSC members.
Supervise members in the arts & crafts room.
Support the implementation of a program schedule for various art-based classes.
Contribute to the development of artistic activities.
Communicate and collaborate with program director.
Ensure art supplies and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
Experience working with older adults (55 and above) Minimum of one year of work experience with older adults in creative, recreational pursuits.
Strong relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written Course work or degree in related field preferred (i.
e.
Crafting, Art Edu, Therapeutic Recreation) Approximately 15 hrs.
