Description:
Plan Materials from MRP.
Purchase goods, materials, components, and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
Ensure there is continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on production through review and maintenance of the shortage report.
Attend daily shortage and production meetings to communicate with the operations team and discuss requirements and dates to support production.
Generate vendor forecasts and cascade to distributors as required.
Run Open Order and Exception reports. Action where required.
Research and evaluate areas of opportunity with respect to reducing inventory.
Negotiate contracts, improve prices, and business terms with suppliers.
Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews.
Explore alternate sources for goods and materials.
Evaluate quotations from potential suppliers. Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers and in line with organizational targets and requirements.
Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, and invoice issues.
Respond in a timely manner to internal customers.
Purchase MRO items to support Engineering, Quality and Production requirements.

In-Depth knowledge of and experience with MRP.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of ERP, CRM, MS Office, Analytical Tools.
Mechanical experience or experience dealing with/purchasing: sheet metal, hardware, heat sinks, cabling, etc.
