I. PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF PROGRAM:
The Kids INN is a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility/sub-acute program which serves as a step down or diversionary placement from a more restrictive placement, typically in-patient hospitalization.
II. POSITION
Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator, coordinates, and implements and in general oversees the effective implementation of clinical services under the direction of the Program Manager, as well as provides direct services. This position is part of an integrated treatment team led by an attending physician.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
admissions, as needed, to meet program goals, including after hours as necessary
2.Manages referrals and coordinates admissions; including establishing and maintains relationships with referral sources
3.Supervises clinical staff in Kids INN
direct clinical services; including group, individual and family therapy
crisis assessment, monitors at risk situations, keeps Program Manager appraised.
6.On call 24/7 in order to respond to clinical crises
with other agency management to ensure program development and seamless delivery of services within the agency
III. OTHER DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.Oversees admission procedures, treatment planning and discharge procedures and planning to ensure their efficient and effective functioning
2.Oversee the provision of clinical services, ensures identified models, such as Risking Connections, are integrated into treatment and milieu
3.Reviews clinical documentation, including treatment plans/review and progress notes, ensuring timely completion that meets Medicaid requirements
4.Reviews Individual Crisis Management Plans and behavioral plans
5.Attends Kids INN weekly staff meetings and organizes/attends Kids INN rounds
quarterly clinical in-service trainings
7.Makes recommendations to Program Manager for modification of clinical services and therapeutic milieu based on observations of program effectiveness
8.Arranges schedule in order to meet client/program needs, working a non-traditional work schedule
other assignments as requested by the Program Manager, meets for weekly supervision
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
1.Masters Degree in Social Work, LCSW required
2.Three or more years post license experience, experience working with children and families, preferably in congregate care or an acute care setting, experience providing clinical supervision
3.The ability to establish and monitor a therapeutic milieu
4.Possesses managerial, organizational and interpersonal skills
5.Knowledge of public sector mental health and the ability to interface with DCF, school systems, CTBHP and community providers
literate, with ability to utilize electronic health record
7.Fulfills competency-based requirements in Boys & Girls Village Social Skills Model and TCI

Qualifications:
1.Bi-lingual candidates are preferred

VII. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1.Must be in sufficient physical condition to participate in restraints
2.Must be able to climb flights of stairs
VIII. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
1.Flexible schedule is necessary to accommodate needs of clients being served.
2.Must have valid driver's license and clean driving recordEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
