Summary:
Seeking experienced Cost Accountant for an established CPG company based in Milford, CT. Reports to the controller.
Responsibilities:
General accounting, A/P and A/R including preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules, ledgers and accounts and inventory costing. Assisting with monthly closings and account analysis and supporting the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
Ensure that receivables are collected promptly and resolution to disputes and deductions are timely
Ensure that payables are paid timely and expenses are properly classified on the G/L
Assist with the preparation of the month end close and reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts.
Inventory costing and analysis and assistance in ERP maintenance of inventory.
Ad hoc projects analyzing sales, margin, distribution and expenses to drive critical business
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5
years' of Cost Accounting experience
SAP Experience is HIGHLY PREFFEREDEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
